Tuesday January 14

Question of the day: Do you have a Teddy Bear?

Snack: Animal crackers and apricots

Books we read: “Miss Nelson is missing”, “Library Mouse a friend;s tale”

Circle time activities/discussions: We talked about our favorite teddy bears and stuffed animals. We talked out the letters that Larry liked so far L, P, D, F.

Classroom Activities we enjoyed: Open ended creating with cardboard, corks, tubes, sticks and tape, fuze beads, building with blocks.

Science: We talked about our five senses. Today we explored sight. We talked about how we use our eyes to examine pattern, shape, color and size. We can gain a lot of information about things by looking at them. We experimented with spinners to see how patterns change as they move, used mirrors to turn half images into whole images, mixed color panels to make new colors, played a fun game of twister first by calling out the colors and then using our eyes only to see the colors without naming them.
