Maiah Moody joined St. Columba’s in 2025. She grew up in Takoma Park, DC and is a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. Ms. Moody is in the process of completing a BA in Early Childhood Education. She loves exploring the outdoors with children of all ages, and discovered her love of teaching through working with children in many regions of southern and interior Alaska. She loves helping children feel empowered to explore the world around them and supports them taking safe risks in the process. Working with children has taught Ms. Moody that you can always find joy and laughter in the small things. Ms. Moody’s favorite book is “Here Comes The Garbage Barge!”
