Family Engagement

For more than 65 years, St. Columba’s Nursery School has thrived because of our vibrant community of amazing families. There are many ways to get involved, support the school, and meet other families.

Our Parent Engagement Team (PET) consists of various committees that collaborate to further the school’s mission. Current committees include Community Outreach, Garden & Grounds, Teacher Appreciation, Social Events, New Parents & Room Parents, and our Piggy Bank Fundraising Committee. Committee participation is on a volunteer basis and determined based on a family’s expressed interests, skills to share, and available time.

If families are unable to volunteer on our PET, there are a number of other ways to engage with the school community. Families are encouraged to participate or volunteer at our many school-sponsored events throughout the year, such as our Fall and Spring Picnics, the Pancake Breakfast, our “Spring Swing” annual fundraiser, or by volunteering in your child’s classroom as a Classroom Reader or Playground Parent.
